Many, but not all,  of our gifts are created using patterns designed by our own volunteers.  The development of these patterns was important in providing a tool for volunteers to participate in the project. This website provides free downloads of patterns to facilitate the distribution to volunteers.  The patterns are intended to be used for the project.   If you would like to use the patterns for personal reasons, we would appreciate you making  a second item for the project.

Hospitals

Stitchin' for Kids is a group of volunteers who create gifts for children requiring extended stays in hospitals. The gifts are intended to entertain as well as to provide comfort. The gifts are designed for the needs of children of all ages.

Since 2009, volunteers who like to sew and knit have contributed to the project. They appreciate that their efforts will brighten a child's day.

​Before starting any projects for donation, please read and familiarize yourself with our newly added Hospital Standards for Safety.   This document was created with feedback from professional hospital staff to ensure our donations meet the needs and safety standards for the children.

Our gifts include doll wardrobes and accessories to be given with new 14 inch dolls, baby dolls, car carriers for boys, stuffed animals and other toys.  We create many of our own patterns.

We make twice yearly donations to hospitals in Northern California and Washington.  

Hearts for Hearts dolls have been discontinued by the manufacturer.  We have selected Glitter Girl by Battat as our replacement starting with our

Spring 2022 delivery. 

Stitchin' for Kids board members are currently resizing patterns.  Pattern page has been updated with replacement patterns Summer of 2021. 

Photos will  be updated with Glitter Girl pictures as time and availability permit.

The hours for the Stitchin' for Kids

workshops are 10:00am to 12:30pm.
